Description
Banana Sushi is a fun, quick, and nutritious snack made by rolling a banana with peanut butter and Nutella inside a tortilla, then slicing it into bite-sized pieces. It’s perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a midday snack and can be customized with creative add-ons like seeds, cinnamon, or fresh berries.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 flour tortilla (whole wheat or white)
- 1 banana, peeled
- 2–3 tablespoons peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
- 1 tablespoon Nutella
- Optional: chia seeds, hemp seeds, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, sliced strawberries, or blueberries
Instructions
- Place the tortilla on a clean, flat surface and spread 2-3 tablespoons of peanut butter evenly over one side.
- Add a thin line of Nutella down the center of the peanut butter layer.
- Peel the banana and straighten it gently if needed.
- Place the banana on top of the Nutella, keeping it centered.
- Roll the tortilla tightly around the banana, tucking in as you go to hold its shape.
- Slice the rolled tortilla into 1/2 to 1-inch rounds using a sharp knife.
- Arrange on a plate and serve as a snack, dessert, or breakfast treat.
Notes
- For a gluten-free option, use a gluten-free tortilla.
- Substitute peanut butter with almond butter or sunflower seed butter for allergies.
- Omit Nutella or replace it with another chocolate spread for a different flavor.
- Sprinkle seeds or cinnamon before rolling for extra flavor and nutrition.
