Description

These Turkey Cranberry Sliders are a delightful blend of sweet, savory, and creamy flavors packed into soft slider buns. Perfect for using up leftover turkey or for an easy party appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns (whole wheat or white)
  • 2 cups cooked turkey breast, shredded
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 6 slices Havarti cheese (or substitute with mozzarella or gouda)
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Optional: Thinly sliced onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish.
  3. Layer the shredded turkey evenly over the bottom buns.
  4. Spoon cranberry sauce over the turkey.
  5. Place Havarti cheese slices on top of the cranberry layer.
  6. Cover with the top halves of the slider buns.
  7. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder and onion powder. Brush this mixture over the tops of the buns.
  8. Sprinkle poppy seeds evenly over the buttered buns.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

  • Use leftover Thanksgiving turkey to save time and reduce waste.
  • For extra flavor, caramelized onions make a great optional addition.
