Description
Deliciously flaky Baked Feta Phyllo Bites filled with creamy feta, sweet fig jam, and topped with a drizzle of honey for a perfect appetizer.
Ingredients

- 1 package Phyllo dough (16 oz, 18 sheets)
- 8 oz Butter, melted
- 1/3 cup Fig jam
- 1/4 cup Pistachios, chopped
- 3 tablespoons Chives, chopped
- 1 tsp Chipotle powder (to taste)
- 8 oz Feta, sliced lengthwise into long rectangles
- Honey (to taste, about 1/2 to 1 tbsp per bite)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare the phyllo by cutting it in half and rolling one half back up to keep it fresh.
- Brush 2-3 tablespoons of melted butter between layers of phyllo sheets.
- Spread a layer of fig jam onto the brushed phyllo, then sprinkle with pistachios, chives, chipotle powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place feta at the wider end of the phyllo and roll it tightly around the cheese.
- Slice the rolled phyllo into 12 rounds.
- Preheat a muffin pan by adding 1/2 tablespoon of butter to each cup.
- Place phyllo bites in the muffin tin and drizzle with more melted butter.
- Bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle hot honey over the bites right after removing from the oven.
Notes
Ensure phyllo is thawed properly to avoid tearing. Experiment with different jams and nuts for unique flavors.
