Description

A comforting and flavorful chicken dish featuring crispy chicken thighs drizzled with sweet and spicy hot honey sauce, perfect for a cozy dinner or meal prep.


Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a lightly oiled baking dish.
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub the mixture all over the chicken thighs.
  4. Arrange the seasoned chicken on the baking sheet or dish, skin side up, and bake for 35–40 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the hot honey sauce by combining honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until warmed through.
  6. Once the chicken is baked, let it rest for 5 minutes before drizzling with hot honey sauce.

Notes

Make sure chicken is at room temperature before baking for even cooking. For extra crispiness, broil for a couple of minutes at the end.
