- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a lightly oiled baking dish.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub the mixture all over the chicken thighs.
- Arrange the seasoned chicken on the baking sheet or dish, skin side up, and bake for 35–40 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Meanwhile, prepare the hot honey sauce by combining honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until warmed through.
- Once the chicken is baked, let it rest for 5 minutes before drizzling with hot honey sauce.
Notes
Make sure chicken is at room temperature before baking for even cooking. For extra crispiness, broil for a couple of minutes at the end.
