Description

Delightful bite-sized treats of creamy brie encased in flaky puff pastry, drizzled with honey, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 mini brie rounds
  • 1 puff pastry sheet
  • 1/2 to 1 tablespoon honey per bite
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Chives, to taste
  • Sea salt (optional)
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s about one and a half times its original size.
  2. Cut out 8 rounds using a 3.5-inch circular cookie cutter.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Spoon dollops of honey onto the parchment where each pastry round will go.
  5. Score each mini brie round with a few light slits on top.
  6. Place each scored brie round on top of the honey dollops.
  7. Wrap each puff pastry around the brie, pinching the edges to seal tightly.
  8. Pinch the edges with a fork to secure.
  9. Brush the tops of each wrapped brie with the beaten egg.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for about 20 to 22 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Garnish with chopped chives and drizzle with additional honey.
  12. Serve on a platter and enjoy!

Notes

For a vegan option, consider using almond milk instead of egg for brushing. Play with different cheeses for unique flavor profiles.
