Ingredients

- 8 mini brie rounds
- 1 puff pastry sheet
- 1/2 to 1 tablespoon honey per bite
- 1 egg, beaten
- Chives, to taste
- Sea salt (optional)
- Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s about one and a half times its original size.
- Cut out 8 rounds using a 3.5-inch circular cookie cutter.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spoon dollops of honey onto the parchment where each pastry round will go.
- Score each mini brie round with a few light slits on top.
- Place each scored brie round on top of the honey dollops.
- Wrap each puff pastry around the brie, pinching the edges to seal tightly.
- Pinch the edges with a fork to secure.
- Brush the tops of each wrapped brie with the beaten egg.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for about 20 to 22 minutes or until golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped chives and drizzle with additional honey.
- Serve on a platter and enjoy!
Notes
For a vegan option, consider using almond milk instead of egg for brushing. Play with different cheeses for unique flavor profiles.
