Description

A comforting and forgiving recipe featuring warm, garlicky mushrooms sautéed with cheese on crispy bread.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare your ingredients: slice the mushrooms, mince the garlic, and shred the cheese.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Sauté the mushrooms for about 5 minutes until soft and browning.
  5. Add garlic and thyme; cook for another 2 minutes and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Prepare the bread on a baking sheet and spread the mushroom mixture on top.
  7. Top each slice with shredded cheese.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
