Description

Crispy, sweet, and spiced just right, these Cinnamon-Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips are a healthy and delicious snack. Made with just a few simple ingredients, they’re naturally gluten-free, vegan, and perfect for satisfying a sweet craving without any guilt.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 bananas (green or slightly yellow, not fully ripe)
  • 2 teaspoons avocado oil or olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional: A pinch of sea salt
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into thin, even rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the oil and cinnamon. If using brown sugar or cocoa powder, add it to the mixture as well.
  3. Toss the banana slices gently in the mixture to coat evenly.
  4. Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap.
  5. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp. Adjust timing based on thickness and air fryer model.
  6. Remove from air fryer and let cool. They will crisp up further as they cool.
  7. Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt if desired before serving.

Notes

  • Use firm bananas for best texture; overly ripe ones may turn mushy.
  • Slice evenly to ensure uniform crispness.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days to maintain crunch.
  • Experiment with flavors like pumpkin spice or nutmeg for variety.
