Ingredients
Scale
- 2 bananas (green or slightly yellow, not fully ripe)
- 2 teaspoons avocado oil or olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Optional: A pinch of sea salt
- Optional: 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- Optional: 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and slice them into thin, even rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
- In a small bowl, mix the oil and cinnamon. If using brown sugar or cocoa powder, add it to the mixture as well.
- Toss the banana slices gently in the mixture to coat evenly.
- Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap.
- Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp. Adjust timing based on thickness and air fryer model.
- Remove from air fryer and let cool. They will crisp up further as they cool.
- Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt if desired before serving.
Notes
- Use firm bananas for best texture; overly ripe ones may turn mushy.
- Slice evenly to ensure uniform crispness.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days to maintain crunch.
- Experiment with flavors like pumpkin spice or nutmeg for variety.
