Description
Lemon Tiramisu is a refreshing and zesty twist on the traditional Italian dessert. Made with lemon-soaked ladyfingers, rich mascarpone cream, and tangy lemon curd, it’s a bright, no-bake treat perfect for spring and summer occasions.
Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- ½ cup sugar
- Lemon peel from 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 7 ounces (about 24) ladyfingers
- 11–12 ounces lemon curd
- Extra lemon zest (for garnish, optional)
- Whipped cream (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, and lemon peel. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer until sugar dissolves. Add lemon juice and let it cool completely.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat heavy cream, mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon zest until soft peaks form. Do not overwhip.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled lemon syrup (do not soak). Layer half of the dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of an 8×8 or 9×9 dish.
- Spread about ⅓ of the lemon curd over the ladyfingers, followed by half of the mascarpone cream mixture.
- Repeat layering with remaining ladyfingers, another ⅓ of lemon curd, and the remaining mascarpone cream. Drizzle any remaining lemon curd on top.
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Garnish with extra lemon zest before serving.
Notes
- Dip the ladyfingers quickly to prevent them from becoming soggy.
- For best flavor, chill overnight before serving.
- You can use sponge cake or cupcakes if ladyfingers are unavailable.
- Cream cheese can substitute mascarpone, though the flavor may vary slightly.
- For a decorative touch, serve in individual jars or glasses.
