Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded akawi cheese
  • 1 and 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 25 spring roll pastry wrappers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cheese mixture by combining akawi cheese and mozzarella cheese in a bowl; add parsley and black pepper and mix.
  2. Make the sealing paste by mixing warm water and flour until smooth.
  3. Arrange spring roll wrappers on a flat surface positioned at an angle.
  4. Fill the lower third of each wrapper with two tablespoons of cheese mixture, fold in sides, and roll tightly while sealing with paste.
  5. Freeze the rolls on a baking dish for about 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Lightly brush the rolls with olive oil and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool before serving or store in an airtight container for later.

Notes

Make sure to not overfill the rolls and freeze before baking for extra crispiness. You can also experiment with different cheeses and spices.
