Date Snickers Recipe

  • Author: Sarah Mendez
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 9 stuffed dates 1x

Description

These no-bake Date Snickers are a healthier, naturally sweet treat made with Medjool dates, nut butter, peanuts, and dark chocolate. Perfect for a quick snack or guilt-free dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 Medjool dates (soft and fresh)
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter (or almond, cashew, etc.)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • Flaky sea salt (optional, for topping)

Optional Add-Ons:

  • Crushed almonds or cashews
  • Dried fruits (cranberries, chopped apricots)
  • Drizzle of white chocolate

Instructions

  1. Prep the Dates: Gently split each date open with your fingers and remove the pit.
  2. Arrange: Place the dates cut side up on a parchment-lined plate or tray.
  3. Fill with Peanut Butter: Add about 1/2 teaspoon of nut butter to each date cavity.
  4. Top with Peanuts: Sprinkle chopped peanuts over the peanut butter in each date.
  5. Melt Chocolate: Use a microwave or double boiler to melt chocolate chips until smooth, stirring often.
  6. Drizzle Chocolate: Spoon or drizzle the melted chocolate over each filled date.
  7. Sprinkle Sea Salt: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with flaky sea salt if using.
  8. Chill: Place in the fridge for 10 minutes or until the chocolate sets.
  9. Store: Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or in the fridge for up to a month.

Notes

  • Use soft, fresh Medjool dates for best results.
  • You can double the batch easily for parties or gifting.
  • Try almond butter or cashew butter for a flavor twist.
