Description
Deliciously caramelized honey roasted sweet potatoes, perfectly balanced with a touch of cinnamon and fresh rosemary. A healthy and flavorful side dish that’s easy to make and perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and diced into 1-inch cubes
- 3 tablespoons honey (raw or organic preferred)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (helps with roasting and crisp edges)
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional – adds warmth and depth)
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped finely (optional – for a herby touch)
- ½ teaspoon salt (essential for balance)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (sharpens flavors)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the diced sweet potatoes, olive oil, honey, cinnamon, rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Toss until all pieces are well coated.
- Spread the sweet potatoes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, turning once halfway through, until they are golden and caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm as a side dish or snack.
Notes
- You can substitute maple syrup for honey for a vegan option.
- For crispier edges, avoid overcrowding the baking sheet.
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts in the last 10 minutes of roasting for added crunch.
