Description
These Peanut Butter Apple Sandwiches with Granola are a quick, healthy, and kid-friendly snack. Crisp apple slices are layered with creamy peanut butter and crunchy granola for a perfectly balanced bite — sweet, crunchy, and satisfying.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 medium apple (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or other crisp variety)
- 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter (natural, no added sugar)
- 1 tbsp granola
Optional Add-Ons:
- Honey or maple syrup drizzle
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
Instructions
- Core the apple to remove the seeds and center.
- Slice the apple into 8–10 wedges of even thickness.
- Lightly dab one side of each slice with a paper towel to reduce excess moisture.
- Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on the dry side of each apple slice.
- Sprinkle granola evenly over half of the peanut butter-covered slices.
- Top each granola slice with a second peanut butter slice to create sandwiches.
- Serve immediately, or pack for a quick on-the-go snack.
Notes
- Nut-free option: Use sunflower seed butter or pumpkin seed butter instead of peanut butter.
- No granola? Try crushed nuts, seeds, or mini chocolate chips for crunch.
- To prevent browning, brush apple slices with a little lemon juice before assembly.
- Best enjoyed fresh — if packing for later, wrap tightly to keep apples crisp.
