Substitutions & Shortcuts:

- Use pre-made deviled egg filling for a quicker version
Instructions
- Boil the Eggs: Place eggs in a pot and cover with 1 inch of water. Bring to a rolling boil over medium-high heat and cook for 12 minutes.
- Cool the Eggs: Transfer eggs to an ice water bath for 10 minutes to cool and make peeling easier.
- Peel the Eggs: Gently crack and roll eggs, then peel under cold running water to remove shells completely.
- Slice in Half: Cut eggs lengthwise and set aside the whites for filling.
- Make the Filling: Remove yolks and mash with a fork. Add mayo, mustard, salt, and pepper; stir until creamy. Adjust mayo for desired texture.
- Fill Egg Halves: Spoon or pipe yolk mixture into each egg white half generously.
- Create the Spiders: Cut 12 olives in half for the bodies. Cut remaining olives into thin strips for legs. Place one olive half in the center of each egg and arrange 3–4 strips on each side as legs. Repeat for all eggs.
- Serve or Store: Serve immediately, or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Notes
- Use a piping bag with a star tip for a decorative filling.
- Try green or kalamata olives for a colorful spider twist.
- Add a dash of smoked paprika on top for a spooky blood-like effect.
