Description
These Strawberry Chocolate Witch Brooms are a spooky-fun Halloween treat made with strawberries, pretzel sticks, and chocolate. They’re festive, kid-friendly, and come together in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 large strawberries, firm and ripe
- 12 pretzel sticks
- 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (or milk/dark chocolate)
Optional Add-Ons:
- Colored sprinkles or edible glitter
- Mini candy corn for decoration
Instructions
- Prepare strawberries: Pat dry with paper towels and cut off tops for a flat base.
- Flip strawberries: Place them upside down with pointed ends facing up.
- Melt chocolate: Microwave half of the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals (or use a double boiler) until smooth.
- Coat strawberries: Dip each strawberry fully in melted chocolate and place on parchment paper to harden slightly.
- Insert pretzels: While chocolate is still soft, press a pretzel stick into the top of each strawberry to form broom handles.
- Add bristles: Melt remaining chocolate, transfer to a piping bag, and pipe lines down the strawberries for a broom effect.
- Decorate & set: Add sprinkles or candy corn if desired, then allow chocolate to harden completely (10–15 minutes at room temp).
Notes
- Use dairy-free chocolate chips for a vegan/dairy-free version.
- Check ingredient labels for nut-free needs.
- Refrigerate for a firmer set if serving later.
