Delicious Greek meatballs filled with creamy feta cheese, paired with a refreshing tzatziki sauce.

- 1 Slice White Bread (Torn into 1-inch pieces, about 1/2 cup)
- 1/4 Cup Milk
- 1 Egg (Beaten)
- 1/4 Cup Red Onion (Finely Chopped)
- 1 Garlic Clove (Minced)
- 2 Teaspoons Oregano
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Pound Ground Beef
- 1 Cup Crumbled Feta Cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare a baking sheet by spraying a wire rack with cooking spray and placing it over the sheet.
- In a large bowl, combine torn bread and milk; let it sit for one minute.
- Add beaten egg, red onion, minced garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, and a quarter of the ground beef; mix until combined.
- Gently add remaining ground beef; mix until no raw meat is visible.
- Divide mixture into 12 portions and form into balls, placing feta cheese in the center of each ball.
- Place meatballs on the wire rack and bake for 15-20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- To make tzatziki, grate cucumbers, wring out moisture, and mix with yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, chopped mint, and salt.
- Serve meatballs hot with tzatziki on the side.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. Ensure cucumbers are well-drained for tzatziki.
