Description

These Homemade Freeze Pops are a fun, fruity, and refreshing treat for hot days. Made with real thawed frozen fruit, a splash of citrus juice, and a touch of honey or agave syrup, they’re customizable, healthy, and naturally sweetened. Perfect for kids and adults alike, and easy to make in batches for summer snacking!

Ingredients

Scale

Essential Ingredients:

  • 2 cups frozen fruit (thawed) – options include strawberries, mangoes, peaches, blueberries, kiwi, pineapple, or dragonfruit
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)

Optional Add-Ons:

  • Fresh mint leaves – for a refreshing herbal twist
  • Pinch of salt – to enhance flavor depth
  • Splash of coconut milk – for creamy freeze pops

Instructions

  1. Thaw the Fruit: Let the frozen fruit sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or microwave for 30 seconds until softened but not hot.
  2. Blend the Mixture: In a blender, combine thawed fruit, water, lemon or lime juice, and honey/agave. Blend until smooth. Add mint, salt, or coconut milk if using.
  3. Fill the Sleeves: Using a funnel, pour the blended mixture into popsicle sleeves or molds, filling them 3/4 full to allow for expansion.
  4. Freeze: Lay the sleeves flat in the freezer and freeze for at least 8 hours, or overnight, until fully solid.
  5. Serve: Once frozen, enjoy straight from the freezer! Perfect for sunny afternoons or as a healthy dessert alternative.

Notes

  • You can mix and match fruits for layered or multicolored pops (blend separately and pour in layers).
  • Use silicone sleeves or BPA-free plastic tubes for easy and safe freezing.
  • If your fruit mixture is too thick, add a bit more water or citrus juice to thin it out.
