Description

A cozy, easy-to-make no bake dessert featuring a buttery graham cracker crust topped with juicy cherry pie filling.


Ingredients

  • 7 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • Optional: Whipped cream or whipped topping for serving
  • Optional: Toasted sliced almonds or chopped pecans
  • Optional: Shaved dark chocolate or cocoa powder
  • Optional: Fresh cherries or berries
  • Optional: Lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Prepare your tools and ingredients: Gather a mixing bowl, a spoon or spatula, measuring cup and spoons, and a serving dish.
  2. Melt the butter: Microwave or melt over low heat. Allow to cool slightly.
  3. Make the graham cracker crust mixture: Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and vanilla in a mixing bowl until moistened.
  4. Press the crust into the serving dish: Firmly press the mixture into an 8×8-inch dish and chill for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Add the cherry pie filling: Spoon filling over the chilled crust, spreading evenly.
  6. Chill until ready to serve: Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  7. Serve and enjoy: Slice and serve topped with whipped cream and nuts if desired.
