- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- Optional: Whipped cream or whipped topping for serving

- Optional: Shaved dark chocolate or cocoa powder
- Optional: Fresh cherries or berries
- Optional: Lemon zest
Instructions
- Prepare your tools and ingredients: Gather a mixing bowl, a spoon or spatula, measuring cup and spoons, and a serving dish.
- Melt the butter: Microwave or melt over low heat. Allow to cool slightly.
- Make the graham cracker crust mixture: Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and vanilla in a mixing bowl until moistened.
- Press the crust into the serving dish: Firmly press the mixture into an 8×8-inch dish and chill for 10-15 minutes.
- Add the cherry pie filling: Spoon filling over the chilled crust, spreading evenly.
- Chill until ready to serve: Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Serve and enjoy: Slice and serve topped with whipped cream and nuts if desired.
