Description
These Nutella Banana Muffins are the perfect blend of sweet, rich banana flavor and swirls of creamy Nutella. Moist, fluffy, and indulgent, they make a fantastic breakfast, snack, or dessert. They’re easy to whip up and even easier to devour!

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 6 ripe bananas (about 2 cups mashed)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup Nutella
Optional Add-Ons:
- Chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or pecans)
- Chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
- Dried fruit (raisins or cranberries)
- Spices (a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease lightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mash the bananas and mix in the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fill muffin cups about 3/4 full. Drop about a teaspoon of Nutella on top of each muffin and swirl gently with a toothpick or knife.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (a little Nutella is fine).
- Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Make sure bananas are very ripe with lots of brown spots for the best flavor.
- You can warm the Nutella slightly to make it easier to swirl.
- Muffins can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
