Description

Peanut Butter Cup French Toast Rolls are a delightful fusion of breakfast and dessert. These rolls feature soft white bread filled with creamy peanut butter and mini peanut butter cups, rolled up, dipped in an egg mixture, and pan-fried to golden perfection. Finished with a cinnamon-sugar coating and optional drizzles of caramel or melted peanut butter, they offer a warm, gooey center with a crisp exterior, making them an indulgent treat for any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices soft white sandwich bread, crusts removed
  • 8 mini peanut butter cups (or chopped regular ones)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter, for frying
  • Optional: Caramel sauce or melted peanut butter for drizzling on top

Instructions

  1. Flatten each slice of bread using a rolling pin to make them thin and pliable.
  2. Spread a thin layer of peanut butter evenly over each slice of flattened bread.
  3. Place one mini peanut butter cup at one edge of each slice. Roll the bread tightly from this edge to form a log around the chocolate.
  4. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
  5. In another bowl, mix together the sugar and ground cinnamon.
  6. Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and melt a small amount of butter.
  7. Dip each roll into the egg mixture, ensuring all sides are coated.
  8. Place the rolls seam-side down in the skillet and cook until all sides are golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  9. Remove the rolls from the skillet and immediately roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat.
  10. Drizzle with caramel sauce or melted peanut butter if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Ensure the bread is fresh and soft for easy rolling without tearing.
  • Adjust the amount of peanut butter to your taste preference.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
  • These rolls can be customized with different fillings like Nutella or fruit preserves.
