Description

Ingredients

  • A pinch of cracked black pepper or flaky sea salt (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon or lime zest (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by removing it from the fridge 30–45 minutes before serving. Alternatively, cut into cubes and microwave in 5–7 second bursts until soft.
  2. Choose a serving vessel, like a shallow platter or bowl.
  3. Smooth the cream cheese into an even layer on the platter.
  4. Spoon pepper jelly over the cream cheese, spreading to create an even layer.
  5. Garnish with chives, nuts, and seasonings if desired.
  6. Serve with crackers, baguette slices, or other dippers.
  7. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3–4 days.
