- 1/2 cup water
- 1 black tea bag or 1 teaspoon loose black tea
- 3–4 strands saffron
- 1–2 teaspoons honey (to taste)
- Optional: pinch of ground cardamom, pinch of cinnamon, crushed almonds for garnish, orange blossom water, vanilla extract
Instructions
- Measure 1 cup almond milk and 1/2 cup water in a saucepan.
- Heat the almond milk and water over medium heat until hot and steaming but not boiling.
- Add saffron strands and stir, letting them bloom for 1–2 minutes.
- Add the black tea and steep for 3–5 minutes.
- Remove the tea and adjust sweetness with honey or an alternative.
- Pour into a mug, garnish if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Saffron quality varies; use good-quality threads for the best flavor. Adjust sweetness and steeping time to preference.
