  • 2 tablespoons strawberry preserves (40g – Bonne Maman preferred)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons milk (22 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese (15g – optional for creamier glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Mix the batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until fully combined and thick.
  3. Bake: Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean. Let the brownies cool completely.
  4. Prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, strawberry preserves, milk, and optional cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  5. Glaze the brownies: Once the brownies are cool, spread the glaze evenly over the top. Let set for 10–15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • The optional cream cheese in the glaze adds a rich, creamy texture and tang. Omit if you prefer a lighter, transparent glaze.
  • Try refrigerating the brownies for a firmer texture and cleaner slice.
