- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Sprinkles for decoration
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, or almonds)

- Optional: 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- Optional: Powdered sugar for dusting
- Optional: Freeze-dried strawberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until pale and smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and any optional mix-ins.
- Press the dough into the prepared pie dish evenly.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden-brown edges are formed.
- Cool for 15–20 minutes, then decorate as desired.
- Serve warm with ice cream or as is.
Notes
For a deeper flavor, brown the butter before using. This pie can be customized with various mix-ins.
