Indulgent cookies that combine crunchy Valentine’s M&M shells with chunks of Oreo for a tender, gooey center, perfect for gifting or festive desserts.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup (113 g) unsalted butter, slightly softened
- 1/2 cup (100 g) packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/3 cups (165 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 2/3 cup Valentine’s Day M&M’s
- 7 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped
- Flaky sea salt for sprinkling (optional)
- White chocolate chips (2–3 tablespoons, optional)
- Toasted hazelnuts or almonds (2–3 tablespoons, chopped, optional)
- A few drops of almond extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a medium bowl until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, corn starch, baking soda, and salt; then add to the wet ingredients and stir just until combined.
- Fold in the M&M’s and chopped Oreo pieces until evenly distributed.
- Scoop the dough into 10 equal mounds and space them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 13 minutes, then gently shape with a round-bottomed spatula while warm.
- Cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- If desired, sprinkle with flaky sea salt while warm.
Notes
Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. They can also be frozen for longer storage.
