Whipped Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip

Description

A delightful dip combining tart cranberries, rich cream cheese, and a hint of chipotle, perfect for family gatherings and cozy get-togethers.


Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 Shallot, Finely Chopped
  • 12 oz Fresh Cranberries
  • 1 Orange, Zested and Juiced
  • 1 Cup Honey
  • 1 to 2 tbsp Chipotle in Adobo
  • 1/4 Cup Raspberry Preserves
  • 1 Pinch Kosher Salt
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese, Room Temp
  • 16 Wedges of Laughing Cow Cheese, Room Temp
  • 810 Sage Leaves
  • 3 tbsp Toasted Almonds, Chopped
  • Chives, Finely Chopped
  • 1 Pinch Flaky Salt
  • Olive Oil, for Frying and Drizzling
  • Chips, for Serving

Instructions

  1. Start by warming a saucepan over low heat, and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Sauté the finely chopped shallot for 4-5 minutes, until soft and translucent.
  2. Add the fresh cranberries along with the zest and juice of one orange. Cook until the cranberries burst and release their juices, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in honey, chipotle in adobo, and raspberry preserves. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. Blend cream cheese and Laughing Cow cheese in a food processor until smooth and fluffy. Transfer to a piping bag.
  5. Heat olive oil and fry sage leaves for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Drain on a paper towel.
  6. On a serving plate, pipe the whipped cheese in an S shape and spoon the cooled cranberry sauce on top. Top with chives, toasted almonds, fried sage, drizzle with olive oil, and finish with flaky salt.
  7. Serve with your choice of chips.

Notes

This dip can be prepared in advance and tastes even better after the flavors meld together. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
