- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: 1–2 tablespoons chia seeds, ground flax seeds, or hemp seeds
- Optional: 1/4–1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg
- Optional: Zest of lemon or orange
- Optional: Dark vegan chocolate chips
- Optional: Chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
- Optional: Unsweetened shredded coconut
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mash the bananas in a medium bowl until mostly smooth.
- Mix in the almond butter and vanilla extract until combined.
- Fold in the almond flour gently until a soft dough forms.
- Portion the dough into balls using a tablespoon and roll them between your palms.
- Create an indentation in the center of each ball using your thumb or a spoon.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5–10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Avoid using underripe bananas for the best texture and sweetness. Feel free to customize with optional add-ins to suit your taste and nutrition goals.
