Ingredients

- 1 loaf of bread (baguette, ciabatta, whole-grain, or sourdough)
- 1/2 cup vegan butter or margarine, softened
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup vegan cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine vegan butter, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Let the mixture sit for 5–10 minutes.
- Slice the loaf in half lengthwise.
- Spread the garlic butter on the cut sides of the bread.
- Sprinkle shredded vegan cheese over the buttered bread.
- Bake for 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are golden.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with parsley.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
For a varied taste, you can mix in red pepper flakes, nutritional yeast, or fresh herbs into the butter or on top. If you want a crispier finish, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes.
