Description

A warm and cozy garlic bread made with vegan butter and cheese that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of bread (baguette, ciabatta, whole-grain, or sourdough)
  • 1/2 cup vegan butter or margarine, softened
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup vegan cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine vegan butter, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  3. Let the mixture sit for 5–10 minutes.
  4. Slice the loaf in half lengthwise.
  5. Spread the garlic butter on the cut sides of the bread.
  6. Sprinkle shredded vegan cheese over the buttered bread.
  7. Bake for 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are golden.
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle with parsley.
  9. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

For a varied taste, you can mix in red pepper flakes, nutritional yeast, or fresh herbs into the butter or on top. If you want a crispier finish, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes.
