- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & black pepper, to taste

Instructions
- Pat the scallops dry with paper towels until there’s little to no surface moisture.
- Sprinkle salt and black pepper lightly over both sides of the scallops.
- Season the lobster tail flesh-side up with a little salt and pepper.
- Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Let it get hot.
- Add the scallops to the skillet, searing without moving for 2–3 minutes.
- Flip each scallop and sear the other side for another 2–3 minutes.
- Transfer them to a warm plate and set aside.
- Add the lobster tail flesh-side down to the skillet and sear for 3–4 minutes until lightly charred.
- Flip the lobster and cook the other side until mostly opaque, about 6–8 minutes total.
- Lower the heat to medium-low, add 2 tbsp of butter and let it melt.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon juice and, if desired, red pepper flakes.
- Baste the seafood with garlic butter.
- Return the scallops and lobster to the pan briefly to warm through.
- Plate the seafood, drizzle with garlic butter, and garnish with parsley and lemon slices.
