Description

A refined, seasonal appetizer of toasted baguette topped with creamy ricotta, fresh strawberries, and a drizzle of honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 French baguette
  • 1 cup whole-milk ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the French baguette into ½-inch slices on the diagonal and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  2. Lightly brush each slice with optional olive oil and bake for 6–9 minutes or until golden.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta, honey, salt, and pepper. Stir in lemon zest if desired.
  4. Spread a generous tablespoon of the ricotta mixture onto each toasted baguette slice.
  5. Top with sliced strawberries, arranging them aesthetically.
  6. Garnish with torn mint leaves and a final drizzle of honey or a few drops of olive oil. Serve immediately.

Notes

This bruschetta is best served fresh to maintain crispiness. Prepare the ricotta and strawberries in advance but toast the bread just before serving.
