Instructions
- Mix together the flour, dry yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
- Pour in the lukewarm water and olive oil, stirring until just combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a warm area, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for about 60 minutes, or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, gently punch down the dough to release excess air.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each into oval or rectangle shapes.
- Spread your toppings evenly over each piece of dough.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the toppings and pinch together to form squares.
- Place the squares on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then drizzle with olive oil and garnish as desired.
