Description

Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 cups lukewarm water
  • 1 packet dry yeast (about 2 and 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Tomato sauce (optional)
  • Shredded vegan mozzarella (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • Melted vegan butter (optional)
  • Caramelized onions (optional)
  • Sun-dried tomatoes (optional)
  • Vegan feta (optional)
  • Vegan cream cheese (optional)
  • Sautéed champignon mushrooms (optional)
  • Vegan pesto (optional)
  • Fresh spinach (optional)
  • Cherry tomatoes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix together the flour, dry yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Pour in the lukewarm water and olive oil, stirring until just combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a warm area, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for about 60 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  5. Once risen, gently punch down the dough to release excess air.
  6. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each into oval or rectangle shapes.
  7. Spread your toppings evenly over each piece of dough.
  8. Fold the edges of the dough over the toppings and pinch together to form squares.
  9. Place the squares on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  10. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then drizzle with olive oil and garnish as desired.
